The wind blows where it pleases, and hears its sound but you don’t know where it comes from nor  where it is going, so it is with everybody that is born of the Spirit.(Jn.3:8).
Believers are born from above to live a life beyond this realm. Christian living is a mysterious experience. The source of this life is the spirit of God. Here is an ungraspable spirit that propels one to an ungraspable life.  Just like the wind, the inner source of Christian life cannot be predicted. The wind blows wherever it wills. The source of this is the Spirit. “Who, but His own Spirit, knows the secret of a person? Similarly, no one but the Spirit of God knows the secret of the person? Similarly, no one but the Spirit of God knows the secret of God”. (1 Cor. 2: 11).
By wind, the Bible refers to the Greek word “pneuma” which means a current, air breath, or breeze with supernatural origin. This word is rarely used for wind but it is known for its strength, vigour and force. The Word is used to refer to the strong rushing wind on the day of Pentecost, thus the wind is a description of the work of the Holy Spirit.
If you are born from above, you are just like the wind! The strength of the Holy Spirit operates in your life! An inner divine vigour takes control of your inner being! A force of heaven propels you through just like the wind, you are unpredictable and malleable. The wind blows wherever it will! What seems to hinder others in life will not hinder you!  The sins that form obstacle to spiritual progress of others will not deny your peace of mind! Just like the wind, you will blow wherever the spirit of God in you wills!
